Dave van den Arend, CPYB

Dave has lived near the Chesapeake Bay most of his life and been involved with boating, whether power or sail, for over 40 years. He has restored several wood and fiberglass boats and enjoys cruising, offshore sailing and scuba diving.

After a long sales, marketing and management career in the office furniture industry; Dave decided it was time for a lifestyle change. He moved aboard a 41’ ketch in the spring of 2004. Putting his sales and boating backgrounds to work, he also began a new career in yacht brokering. In May of ‘05 he joined the team at Crusader Yacht Sales. Dave’s experience in boating, his enthusiastic attitude and concern for his customer’s satisfaction have made him a person many have enjoyed working with.
He has worked very hard to make each and every one of his customers’ boat buying or selling experiences a pleasant and educational one. He has also earned the new CPYB, Certified Professional Yacht Broker, designation. This title tells other professionals in the marine industry that Dave is very knowledgeable and successful at what he does. It also provides reassurance to his customers that he processes the capabilities and resources to work with them and meet their needs. Dave is also an active member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America.
