1984 Irwin Center Cockpit

On boarding this Irwin 38 through the Side Gate, one will notice the Step Up to the after sections of the deck sides, helping to keep the after decks drier.  If one goes forward the deck stays flush  up to the bow.  There is a short bow sprite where the roller reefing system is mounted along with 2 anchor rollers and the bow pulpit.  The short sprite has a SS rod bobstay attached with a tang at the water line.

Walking aft from the bow there are 4 opening deck/cabin top hatches and 3 fixed cabin top hatches making down below nice and bright.  Continuing aft one will notice that the mast is not just anodized aluminum but is paint a slightly off-white color, an excellent color choice for the hull color. 

Approaching the center cockpit one will also see the dodger with clean and clear pressed vinyl panels connecting to several different canvas options over the center cockpit.

The center cockpit is a large oasis for relaxing, entertaining or just getting out of the weather.  Plenty of canvas you can set up or not, cockpit table, lots of seating space with cushions.  The main sheet, headsail sheets are at the cockpit with excellent winches as are the Raymarine navigation electronics.

Aft of the cockpit are 2 more opening cabin top hatches, a large Lazarette for storage at the very stern along with propane locker.

There are dinghy davits, a rail mounted grill and cover on the stern railing along with a SS swim ladder for easy boarding.  

Down below you will find a large salon, table with settees off on the port and starboard sides, galley is located in the port side passage way and navigation station on the starboard side passage way. 

There is a forward cabin with private head/shower, aft cabin with a head and shower.
