The interior is varnished cherry, providing easy maintenance. Battened overhead access panels are also varnished cherry. Main cabin area features ultra-leather seating. Twelve stainless steel opening port lights w/screens & shades, 4 stainless steel deck hatches w/screens, two 4” chrome dorade vents and 4 Hella cabin fans provide excellent natural light and ventilation.

There is a good mix of DC lighting, including courtesy lights to illuminate the teak and holly cabin sole and cockpit on night sails.

The forward cabin has a large vee berth (6’06” x 5’04” with tufted topper and fitted sheets), with vanity and sink, hanging locker, ample storage cabinetry, screened deck hatch, fan, and two opening ports.

The salon’s port dinette converts to a comfortable double berth with storage underneath and behind. The starboard settee becomes a single berth with similar storage. The cherry drop-leaf table seats six adults. The varnished teak interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.

The keyhole galley to port has storage galore and, near centerline, includes 9” deep double sinks with manual water foot pump, hot and cold pressure water (Ambassador faucet) with a 6.4 gallon, 110v AC Isotemp hot water heater (2017). Refrigeration includes a large, front and top load, insulated ice box w/Adler Barbour (Domestic) Cold Machine 12v DC refrigeration with freezer and lights in both halves (2019). Corian counter tops, a gimbaled, three-burner Force 10 propane stove with oven, built-in microwave, and a built-in garbage bin complete this comfortable, efficient galley.

The outward-facing navigation station is to starboard across from the galley. The navigation desk chair is on a pivot that has a custom reinforced bulkhead mounting. There are ample related lockers and room for an array of electronics.

The double entry head compartment is to starboard with a manual head and holding tank with macerator (deck discharge with bypass for direct pump-out), molded solid surface counter tops with integral sink, handheld shower, teak shower grate, independent shower sump pump, cabinet and storage shelves, and opening port with screen.

The master stateroom is aft to starboard with a queen-size double (6’06” x 4’08” with tufted topper and fitted sheets), hanging locker and shelves, behind-the-bed cabinetry, four screened opening ports, overhead port and fan.

Manufacturer Provided Description
As with all Tartans, the 4100 has both strength and speed. Her moderate displacement hull is built with a sandwich core made from unidirectional "E" glass and Baltek balsa. Extensive framing, structural floor timbers and full structurally bonded bulkheads maintain the rigidity of her hull, while producing a greater load carrying ability. Her deck is constructed with the same structural integrity as the hull, yet omits balsa where hardware installation occurs. Her delicate, balanced underbody provides exhilarating performance in all wind and sea conditions. The rudder is designed to offer the ultimate in feel under sail and precise maneuverability when powering. The 4100 is a worthy addition to the Tartan fleet of performance-minded cruisers. Within the cockpit, her 44-inch stainless steel wheel sits upon a grand pedestal console complete with teak table and assembled with space for future installations. Teak-covered storage bins provide a delicate accent to her fiberglass deck, while adding a handy compartment for small goods and genoa sheets. Extensive seating can properly fit a party of eight, while the helmsmen and few crew work the lines. Tailored to be two-handed, sail controls are led aft. Her custom fabricated masthead rig and lines provide easy handling, while her comprehensive package of Harken hardware and other brand name equipment are fitted specifically for function and manageability. Logical in layout, her deck is easily maneuverable and safety minded, with patterned, contrasting non-skid; housetop hand rails; 27-inch lifelines and tall, teak toe-rails. Generous in all her accommodations, she gives extra attention to the cook and navigator. Bountiful in stowage amid spacious lockers with louvered doors, dove-tailed drawers and elongated lockers, she can effortlessly be provisioned for long distance cruising or live aboard. Several different layouts are possible. The standard layout is with a large aft cabin.
