2003 Passport 456

Annapolis, Maryland

If you are in the market for an amazingly well-preserved, proven, mid-range cruiser, VISION QUEST is a "must see" yacht for you. Not only is she of quality pedigree and in superb condition, she is loaded with all the gear you’ll need for local, coastal, and extended ocean passages .

VISION QUEST is a Robert Perry designed yacht constructed in China with meticulous attention to structural integrity, craftsmanship/wood joinery, and finishes. Multiple hatches and portlights enhance the bright, spacious and airy feeling below. Bulkheads and cabinetry are all light-colored satin coated teak wood with elegant louvered doors throughout. The solid teak and holly sole runs continuously (no level changes or bulkhead interruptions except at heads) fore to aft.

The hull is dark blue (Awlgrip Majestic Blue with an Awlcraft 2000 Clearcoat finish) with a gold cove stripe. The cabin top is Awlgrip Moondust. The bottom was recently taken back to gelcoat, 4-coat barrier coated, and repainted with two coats Micron CSC bottom paint.

The teak cap rails have full-length stainless steel strikers and six aluminum/teak protective step plates at the gates and shrouds. The cap rails, cabintop teak handholds, coach eyebrows, and pushpit seats were all recently refinished with Cetol high gloss varnish. The deck, cockpit sole and cockpit seats are natural teak. The sugar scoop stern has teak battens on the platform, dinghy cleats, a substantial stainless steel swim ladder, and includes recessed hot/cold shower controls and pull-out shower head.

A few of the interior upgrades include the double pass-thru layout, curved companionway stairs, contoured cushions and ultra-leather upholstery in the saloon, pleated curtains in the saloon and washable Ship Shades throughout the rest of the boat, custom hardware, and a significant number of "extra" Cantaloupi light fixtures.

The boat was delivered with many system options including but not limited to the diesel generator, bow thruster, water maker, and air-conditioning. Many other improvements have been added - not the least of which are the Red Baron wind generator and Harken roller furling staysail - to make this a true long-range cruiser.

The boat has been set up with most lines leading back to the cockpit for easy single-handed sailing.

She is conveniently located in Annapolis, Maryland. Give us a shout and we'll set up a visit for you.  VISION QUEST will be on your short list for sure.
