This one owner 2006 Tartan 3700 exhibits the passion Tartan Yachts has to deliver the best sailboats. Recognizing that a 37’ boat was the sweet spot for many sailors and their families, Tartan has been building a 37’ model since 1976, culminating in 2017 after 713 hulls. When the 3700 was introduced in 2000, Tartan once again exceeded all expectations and was rewarded with Cruising World’s Best Midsize Cruiser as well as Sail Magazine’s Top 10 awards. From the desk of Tim Jackett, the sweeping lines, perfect proportions and contemporary styling display an ideal blend of performance and tradition. The beauty of a Tartan doesn’t stop with the fast and stable performance or the graceful exterior lines. Step below and you will immediately appreciate the hand-crafted solid cherry interior, raised panel hardwood locker doors, dovetail joiner work on the drawers and overall beauty and the well thought out use of space.

The carbon fiber rig is stronger, lighter and stiffer than an aluminum mast and can carry a greater sail area while vastly improving sailing performance. Each Tartan is a fast, highly competitive performer capable of offshore passage making. Designed and built for the family that wants to both cruise and race, this double spreader masthead sloop features the "Beavertail" bulb keel with a draft of 5' (as opposed to the 7.25' draft of the standard "fin" keel) to be more gunkhole friendly.

Time marches on and her owners want to find RADIANCE a good home. Call and come see her today!

Accommodations

Master stateroom:  The forward stateroom is accessed by a bi-fold door that folds neatly out of the way when not in use.  Additionally, there is a pass-through window between the saloon and forward cabin with a solid raised panel door. The berth is 76” L x 25” x 86” and has a removable center insert and storage beneath it; additionally, there are four drawers beneath the berth.  On port is a cedar-lined locker with shelves and hanging storage with fiddled shelves.  On starboard is a sink with double door storage beneath and two fiddle shelves above the lockers above it.  The port side locker has a mirror and a brace to prop the mirror at a proper angle to see yourself.  Lighting and ventilation are provided by two overhead lights, two reading lights, two overhead hatches and two opening ports. Headroom in here is 6’1”.

Head:  The head is aft and behind the nav station on port. As you enter, the sink and head are to your right and the separate shower area is directly after that.  Above the fiddled countertop along the hullside are lockers, the forward most with shelves.  All three lockers have shelving.  The two center doors are mirrored and tip-up for better viewing. Lighting and ventilation are provided by three overhead lights, one hatch and two opening ports. Headroom in here is 6’1”.

Saloon:  Moving aft into the saloon there is a cherry centerline drop-leaf table that will comfortably seat five. There are two drawers beneath it.  On port there is a 5’10” long straight settee; on starboard is a U-shaped dinette that can be converted to a 75” x 46” double berth.  There is storage behind the seatbacks and tankage beneath both sides.  Behind each side is a fiddled shelf with lockers with sliding doors forward and lockers with doors aft.  The starboard side locker is a liquor cabinet with bottle storage.  Cherry grab rails are on either side of the housetop.  Lighting and ventilation are provided by eight overhead lights, two reading lights, four opening ports and two overhead hatches. Headroom here is 6’4”.

Nav station:  On port is the forward-facing nav station.  The seat is upholstered and has an armrest and storage beneath it.  The fiddled cherry desktop is large enough to hold a chartbook and has good storage beneath the lid as well as four drawers.  Forward and above is the panel for electronics which is hinged for access.  The electric panel is outboard and hinged for easy access as well. Headroom here is 6’1”.

Galley:  The galley is located on starboard and also is access to the aft cabin.  Facing forward there is a tip-out trash bin with a locker beneath it.  To the right of that is the icebox with top and front-loading access.  Above that along the hull-side is a double door locker with shelves.  Continuing around to the right is the stove, with pan storage space beneath and a cherry spice rack above it.  To the right of the stove is another countertop, with a locker with shelves and four drawers beneath it and a double door locker with shelves above.  Toward the centerline, in traditional Tartan style are two polished stainless steel  sinks with double door locker storage beneath and a flip-up counter extension at the end of both sinks.  This entire configuration is designed for safe galley work while at sea with good bracing throughout.  Lighting and ventilation for the nav and galley areas are provided by three opening ports, two Dorade vents and nine overhead lights.  Headroom is 6’1”.

Aft stateroom:  The aft stateroom is back of the galley and has a 70” x 78” berth, with storage beneath it. Along the hull side there is a cedar-lined hanging locker and a double door locker with shelves.  There is fiddled shelf space along the hull. There is also shelf space above the engine box.  Lighting and ventilation are provided by one reading light, three overhead lights and four opening ports. Headroom in here is 6’1”.
