1978 Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht

Fort Pierce, Florida $210,000

DESCRIPTION

Let me introduce you to Puddy Tat III. Your family and friends are going to love this fine vessel. She is a very large and comfortable motor yacht with many upgrades to comfort, style and mechanics. With the huge master aft cabin with walk around queen, large closets, tons of storage throughout, 2 spacious guest cabins, and 3 full heads, there is plenty of room for everyone. It even has a spiral staircase that makes easy access from the sundeck to the swim platform. Duel helms, from either center interior or fly bridge, she is easy to maneuver in any weather, especially with with bow thruster. This infamously solid Hatteras 53' MY was built to last, so don't let the age fool you. Plus, it has been lovingly cared for with many upgrades and great maintenance throughout the years. This vessel is a dry boat. It does not have any water leaks from hatches, windows, etc. It is fully loaded with: new electronics, camera's fwd and aft, autopilot, radar, solar, and it is fully inverted. That's right all the 110v on the boat is through a powerful Magnum Inverter. If you need more, fire up the low houred newer (2015) Onan 10KW generator and get that a/c or heat blowing. The galley is modern, beautiful and spacious, the only thing original to this beauty is her engines, stabilizers, the beautiful hatteras wood work, and the large full size upright washer and dryer. Everything else has been updated and renovated. These boats were built to 36v but this vessel has upgraded to 24v. The heads, water pumps, macerators, lights, electronics, all converted to 24volt. The bilge pumps are still 36 volt but have 24volt ready to power the next round of bilge pumps, or anything else the boat may need in the future. Come check out this beautiful modified tank of a vessel in Ft Pierce Florida.

walkthrough

When you walk up from the starboard side you will have your ship service and water connections immediately to your right on the outboard side along with the waste pump out forward. The same hookup is also available on the port side. Walking forward to the bow you have two deck boxes, one starboard which contains the power cords & hoses, and the port deck box stores for all of the lines. Center is the bow pulpit which has a fresh water wash down connection located on the stbd side and center is a new Lofrans X3 1700W windlass with a new 66 lb (30 kg) Mantus M2 anchor. The windlass motor has recently been replaced and mounted directly below for easy access through the front panel. The bow bench, teak & holly table and sunpad are excellent for entertaining and enjoying the sunshine while underway. Moving aft is the three-step boarding ladder that’s mounted on the stanchions and just aft of the side door are the two fuel fill plates located on the bulwark.

The large aft deck is the perfect location for enjoying sunset cocktails with family and friends. It has a full plexiglass enclosure with four U-shaped screens for fresh air, or roll-up the back panels and enjoy your backyard paradise! Alternatively, there is full 16k btu a/c independent unit for those hot summer days. There is a wet bar with a liquor cabinet below, along with an EdgeStar ice maker and a can crusher. The aft deck has four outdoor “comfy” wicker style chairs, two small round foldable tables in between, and a foldable dining table for those days with guests and of course music from the two speakers to complete a perfect day on the water. Access the swim platform through the half double doors that open up to a custom-made stainless-steel spiral staircase that leads you to the custom 4’ swim platform for added safety and comfort for those who love to anchor out or have pets that need to dinghy to shore. Heading up to the flybridge there is an additional storage cabinet that is located on the stbd side, beneath the ladder.

The flybridge has new EVA flooring in the aft seating area with two Adirondack chairs and table. Forward is the helm station that has duplicate electronics as the lower helm and two captains’ chairs. The helm station and both captains’ chairs have new custom Sunbrella covers. A long cushioned bench for seating several guests is directly in front of the helm. Two new Sunbrella biminis attach to the arch (for the main and aft areas). The Marquis davit is located stbd, and aft of the arch.

Continuing forward from the aft deck you’ll enter the spacious main salon area. The 360 degrees of panoramic views provide a great feeling of openness and excellent visibility. The aft stbd side cabinet houses the encased a/c unit with the stereo amplifier and speaker controls with a storage cabinet below. Forward are two leather bucket chairs with a table in between and a mounted swing arm reading lamp. Portside has a leather couch with end tables at each end, a mounted swing arm reading lamp in the aft corner and a storage shelf forward. Center is the Insignia flatscreen tv, dvd player, and speaker selector. The bottom left side is a wine cabinet, center provides a pull-out drawer, and shelving on the right side. The front side has bench seating for the captain and provides storage in both armrests. The helm station consists of all new Raymarine electronics.
