highlights

  1. STAR DIAMOND is a U.S.-built, 154' (46.94m) vessel with an impressive 492 gross tons, providing exceptional volume and spaciousness.

  2. The structural upgrades to the bow and keel have significantly strengthened the vessel, improving its ability to be hauled at various shipyards and enhancing the overall ride quality. These enhancements have eliminated flexing and creaking, bringing the hull's performance in line with that of a Westport.

  3. The cabin layout is highly flexible, with two convertible cabins that can be configured as twin beds or large kings. Additionally, a sliding wall allows for the creation of a spacious full-beam VIP cabin.

  4. Boasts the best sundeck/flybridge in her class, unrivaled in size and amenities.

  5. Features a large garage for toys, spares, and equipment, ensuring the decks and engineering spaces remain clutter-free.

  6. The expansive aft deck accommodates multiple water toys, with protected deck hatches for jet skis. Its proximity to the water allows for safe and quick deployment, ensuring the sundeck is always available for guest enjoyment.

  7. Capable of making up time with a fast-cruising speed of 14 knots and a maximum speed of 18 knots.

  8. Equipped with Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers (4 fins), with control systems upgraded in 2024 for enhanced stability.

  9. Over $9M invested in major mechanical, structural, and shipyard upgrades from 2023 to 2024.

about the refit

STAR DIAMOND has undergone a significant mechanical overhaul, with approximately $9 million invested between August 2023 and May 2024. About $3 million was dedicated to the structural redesign of the bow and keel, making the vessel feel more solid than ever. This redesign enhances her seaworthiness, bringing her on par with the quality and stability of other renowned yachts built in Washington state.  During the lift at Lauderdale Marine Center, there was almost no deflection in the slings—an impressive improvement.

I recently took her out in 3-foot head seas, and the vessel didn’t creek or flex at all, showcasing the impact of these enhancements. Additional investments were made in upgrading the monitoring system, performing top-end work on the main engines, replacing the main engine exhaust, upgrading through-hull valves, rebuilding the control room and engineer’s cabin, enhancing air handlers, and installing LED lighting, to name just a few improvements.

STAR DIAMOND is looking and performing better than she has since her launch!
