Construction
The Taswell 44 hull is constructed of hand laid GRP with vinylester resin for superior moisture resistance and both mat and roving fabrics. She's a solid and stiff boat with numerous longitudinal stringers. The superior hull to deck joint is both mechanically and chemically bonded with 5200 and 3/8" stainless steel bolts on 8" centers. The deck has a sandwich construction with 1/2" end grain balsa core. In areas of high stress and heavy loads solid construction and backing plates have been utilized.
