deck and cockpit
The Beneteau Oceanis 48 features a spacious, open cockpit that balances comfort and functionality. Twin helms offer great visibility and access, and the centerline table includes storage, lighting, and stainless steel handrails. Tartuga is equipped with six folding cockpit cushions, a dodger, a bimini, and mesh side curtains for comfort and protection.
There is plenty of storage, with two large cockpit lockers, additional compartments in the cockpit sole, a dedicated propane locker, and a liferaft locker beneath the helm seat.
The electric fold-down transom creates a wide swim platform for easy water access and tender boarding. When raised, it forms secure seating and encloses the cockpit.
Most sail controls are led aft for short-handed sailing, with electric primary winches positioned within easy reach of both helms. The mainsheet is led to an overhead arch, keeping the cockpit uncluttered and safe.
Side decks are wide and easy to navigate, and the foredeck is clean and functional, with a large chain locker, anchor windlass, and ample space for ground tackle (73 lbs Rocna anchor and 150+ ft. of chain) and cruising gear.

Opposite the galley is a large head with a separate shower, easily accessible for guests and day use.
The salon is open and inviting, with excellent natural light from overhead hatches and hull ports.
